2015 Jeff Lambert Fishing Tournament Recap

April 15, 2015
The 11th annual Jeff Lambert Fishing Tournament was another enjoyable event at Lake Guntersville. The weather and fish cooperated to make the experience enjoyable for everyone. This year was even more exciting as we shared the lake with the Elite Series. It was a battle to see who could get to Seibold Creek the first!! We saw many of the great fisherman and we even followed some of them around the lake.

However, we had some of our own top fisherman. We had around 40 young men take a few days off from our normal routines and enjoy Godís creation and spend time with some good ole boys. There is nothing better than spending time with our brothers in Christ out on the lake taking in Godís wonderful work.

Matt Stuart was the Top Guide of the Year as his boat mates caught 22.56 on Saturday, followed closely by David Gnewikow. However, David did come out as the boating division winner of the top 5 bass weighed in at 16.51, bringing home the award.
In the non-boater division the next generation of Gnewikow took home the prize, Davidís son Dawson had a very impressive weekend weighing in 13.3 pounds.

We also had the Back 40 big bass record go down this year as Gabe Feese caught the biggest bass in Back 40 history, weighing in an 8.88 toad. The biggest bass for boater went to Phillip R. with a weight of 5.49 pounds.

Thanks to Rick Frawley for cooking again and everyone who helped and supported the Back 40 Tournament this year.

We would like to thank all of our supporters for the event: Buck Knives, ORCA Coolers, Strike King, Abu Garcia, Mustang, Hi-Seas, Aqua Vu, and Buff USA.

Mark your calendars for April, 8-10!! Sign-ups coming soon!! We will have another great year, go out and invite your friends to join us this year.
